Judgments against Anfi in the dozen

With the successful judgment of 27.3.2018, a dozen judgments were obtained by the law firm Schomerus within a few months for German clients against Anfi Beach companies, before the various chambers of the competent courts of San Bartolomé de Tirajana/Gran Canarias:

In March 2017, The Court granted us No. 5 an amount of EUR 37,316.21 because of the annulment of the 2002 contract.

In the judgment of 28 April 2017 of The Court No. 4 was annulled a contract of 2001 and Anfi was ordered to refund 14,316 euros.

Also on 28.4.2017 Anfi was ordered by the same court to a repayment of 16,000,-, here for the nullity of a contract of the year 2002.

The Court No. 5 annulled a 2006 contract on 5.6.2017. Of the requested more than 33,000 euros, however, only a small amount was granted. The judgment was therefore challenged.

The judgment of 13.10.2017 of The Court No. 4 confirmed the annulment of a contract in 2006 and ordered three Anfi companies jointly and severally to repay EUR 23,950.

On 19.12.2017, The Court No.3 annulled a contract of the year 2008 and ordered the repayment of 65,430,- Euro.

On 8.2.2018, it was The Court No.1 that annulled a contract of 2006. However, the purchase amount had never been paid in full, so the repayment amount is also small. But Anfi had tried to withhold them completely. That is why this judgment was also important.

The Court No. 4 ruled on 9.2.2018 on a contract of 1999, which it annulled. The judgment of 24,381,- was below the initial demand and here too the appeal verdict must be awaited.

On 19.2.2018, The Court No.4 then annulled a contract of 2013 and ordered the other side to repay 18,254,- Euro.

On 7.3.2018, the Court No. 4 – annitable a contract from 2002 and awarded the applicants an amount of EUR 37,838.12.

The appeal decision in these and other cases remains to be seen, but the tendency is clear: at last, there is hope again for hundreds of thousands who have been trapped in contracts of this kind for many years.

And in many cases it started with a seemingly harmless lottery win on the beach and a taxi ride to the hotel complex. …
