Dr. Mercedes Andrea Schomerus
Born in 1958. She is married and has two children.
She studied law and political science at Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg / Breisgau.
Interdisciplinary PhD in political science and on problems relating to building standards (cum laude).
In 1988 she joined the law firm in Alicante, which had existed since 1976. In 1991 she was admitted to the Bar Association of Alicante (Spain) (No. 3442) and to the Bar Association of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Lanzarote (now uniform).
In 1995 she became a partner in the law firm.
She has also taught master courses at the University of Alicante and at European Consumer Centers on the subject of private international law.
In 2013 she acquired the law firm, changing its name to Schomerus.
She is the author of numerous publications in Germany and Spain, in particular on consumer protection in the area of part-time use rights (timeshare).
